I am originally from Pakistan where I completed my medical degree and a PhD. I then moved to the and mid-west where I learned to appreciate the richness of diversity and the opportunity to learn from a variety of people.
I am excited to embark on a new journey in Knoxville, TN, and look forward to calling it my new home and enjoying the great weather, bidding farewell to the Chicago snow. In my free time, I enjoy cooking and cherishing moments with my family. I plan to spend time with my sister and nieces which are based near Atlanta, Georgia.
I was inspired by the kindness and integrity of the faculty at Knoxville Medical Center during my interview, which is why I ranked the program as my top choice and am honored to be part of its inaugural class. Eager to learn directly from highly qualified clinicians, My focus during training will be on hospital medicine during training. I aspire to pursue a career as a future hospitalist in an academic setting.
I am driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact in patient ‘s lives. I am also considering fellowship opportunities in Gastroenterology or Endocrinology. My strong research background positions me well to undertake quality improvement projects and patient-centered research during residency training.
