I am thrilled to start my internal medicine residency training at Tennova Health North Knoxville Medical Center. I am particularly drawn to the program commitment to training well-rounded internal medicine physicians by integrating university-based resources within a community-based practice setting. During my interaction with program leadership and faculty, I was impressed by the program commitment to improving health by delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in the Knoxville area. I am also excited about the program emphasis on fostering opportunities for research and scholarly activities during residency training. Lastly, I was amazed by the warm welcome during the open house event when we got to tour the North Knoxville Medical Center facilities.
I am eager to learn from Tennova Health’s experienced and exceptional faculty members, help deliver the best care for our patients, and make meaningful contributions to building the program. During my residency training, I hope to gain the essential skills and experience across multiple subspecialties that will allow me to provide patient-centered primary care services after graduation.
Outside of my professional life, I love spending time outdoors with my husband and daughter.
Our favorite outdoor place in Knoxville is Lakeshore Park. I also enjoy playing board games with my friends during my free time.
